As you automate things in your business, you will notice the quality of work depends upon the day to day exposure a person has.
For example, Piyush Pandey could not have made the legendary Fevicol adverts, had he not been exposed to the carpenters from Rajasthan.
Like this, there are many examples. The fundamental in every one of them is the same however — a person who has collected a certain mix of experiences in life goes through situations that spark something in them.
Systems can be deliberately designed to max out this equation for a role or individual. Military training for example is designed like this. No matter who comes, they are all put through the same paces. Only after this is done sufficiently, they may see what the individual is naturally best at and put them there.
