Perhaps the biggest benefit of systems is that they create time and brain space needed for the most talented or experienced people to do more of what only they can do.
Coordination, routine stuff, etc. can be taken care of by systems. This also allows you to design systems that work for them specifically.
For example, some creative people love the boring monotonous work, because that's where their ideas are born! Others may need a lot of free time. Someone else may need constant chaos. You can build the system according to what works for each one of them.
Just be sure to allow for breaks to this when they get saturated. It could be at fixed intervals or as and when required for that individual. This keeps things fresh and lively for them!
