How collating learnings is a growth and branding tool
We all grow through learning from experience. However, when a business grows the experiences of all the people are seldom collated.
Even if it seems to be unimportant, it's best to create a space where all of them can be captured. One thing is, it's good for the individual’s role. If they move out of that role, the next person can continue much more easily. This is done through SOPs, decision logs, learnings, etc.
Now, what if all the roles in your business did this? It's good, but we also need collective learnings — the ones that don't solely fall under a role or responsibility, but happen as a result of collective efforts.
It's obvious we should do this, but try and see, the results will speak for themselves.
The important thing is all the collective knowledge should be organised and accessible by everyone.
This will slowly become a powerful force for operational growth. The other, bigger effect is that a certain cohesiveness of brand becomes apparent to everyone.
Idea is simple - everyone simply have to put their learnings and observations down in writing, with dates somewhere central.
