Can always be figured out
Only after something is made and tested can you improve or tighten it.
It’s not easy to build perfect systems from scratch. Heck, even systems that have been around for so long could use some major updates. There is always this feeling of not knowing what’s the right system to make. What if you haven’t created enough & something bad happens? Is it too complicated to actually be useful?
All these thoughts are common for anyone who is building systems. And these are very good thoughts to have, even if you don’t like them at that moment. It’s good to spend some time and marinate in these feelings. That’s where good solutions come from.
Here’s the thing - if you’re letting this hold you back from making systems, then don’t wait. Just start with what you know. A lot of things we know only by trial & error. In fact, as you create what you know, it leaves only things that you don’t know yet. Getting everything out of your mind and onto at least a prototype gives you lots of insights into the next step.
So, just start. What is unclear yet can always be figured out!
