Brick by brick
A simple method for architectural integrity of systems
Huge complicated systems can only be made brick by brick. Each brick is one complete piece of the system.
Doing it like this has a few advantages:
Prevents overwhelm
Ensures each piece works properly by itself
Allows you to build most important pieces first
Easily and clearly connect each piece as required
Group similar pieces together for better organisation
Gives you the freedom and control to shape the entire system as needed
Easily repair or update only the required pieces
Make it easy for others to follow along and work with / on it
I think you get the drift. Do share any more points you can think of!
