hi everybody!
title is referencing the greatest video I’ve ever seen, Shawn Mendes greeting his fans on IG Live. it’s connected to me so deeply because yeah, literally it has been a minute.
I’m not a consistent communicator and we know this. everyone should know this by now. you’re just not gonna reach me all the time and I’m sorry but I’m also raw and real about that.
I was thinking being offline would make me more eager to text people, but it hasn’t. I’m still on my phone, but instead of tweeting and doomscrolling I’m playing Starbrew Café in ways that are so compulsive it cannot be discussed at this time. but know I see you, I hear you, I love you, and I’m probably asleep.
I’ve been like crazy sick this past week or so but not like cold and flu symptoms type beat but like banging headache, can’t sleep, nearly passing out, feverish type beat. today I have come to the answer as to what’s been going on and it’s this:
I have a stomach bug.
and trust and believe it had to be one of my little monster gremlins that gave it to me at work. because when is it not their fault?
and when I go back to work on Monday I’m gonna tell them, like I always do, that they got me sick. and they will respond to me, thinking I am speaking to each one of them individually, saying “Nuh-uh, I didn’t get you sick! I wasn’t sick!” I can tell you, reliably, that each and every one of them have gotten me sick at least once and I can trace back each time I’ve been sick to at least one of them. but I digress.
in other news
I’ve been up to nothing. I threw some really nice tall vessels in Ceramics on Monday but I didn’t take pictures because, as we all know, I don’t take pictures of anything. the only pics I have recently are pictures of the board in my earth science class and my first grader’s spelling homework.
I had an exam on Tuesday for my earth science class and I got my test back and was like decently okay with the score. it was a B, so not anything delightful, but I’m not mad cuz I highkey was barely grasping the concepts we were learning (this class is held at 8AM btw)
but my professor had said that most people scored like 70 and below on theirs so no shade but that was reassuring. she’s always encouraging us to look into majoring in geology and lowkey should I enter my geologist era…? I loved geology in HS and it’s the only science I can tolerate, and being a geologist pays mad well, is super interesting, and the hotspot to do it is litttterally my hometown cuz we live right next to the San Andreas Fault. but also, like, how many sidequests should I really be on rn?
in more exciting news I made more friends!!!
went to oomf’s grad party and met these really cool girls so I asked if they were fans of Raveena and Tinashe and now we’re going to their show in October <3 lord knows I be begging and pleading to have more concert friends so I am soooo happy about this.
making more friends and making more plans, staying busy, starting new routines and locking in on my future… that’s the vibes rn. and I’m happy.
oh and I posted on the blog lol. three times. one of them got crazy traction by bearblog standards so that was interesting. but yes, that is all for this week!!
