another new post, yes it’s coming in the dead of night, sorry bout it.
it’s about I Saw the TV Glow, which I literally just watched. it’s a good film, but not a good movie, to say the least.
I decided to go see it because of the twitter reviews coming in and invited my friends because I was under the impression it was a horror movie, which it, technically, is. so here we are, gassed up from the sushi we got beforehand, excited to see this cool, queer horror movie that’s been getting rave reviews online, and we get hit with the saddest thing you’ve ever seen. a true buzzkill!
but, it is a good film. and you should watch it, but just… not in a big commercial theater. go to the Alamo (never been to one) or some other small, niche theater that serves coffee. but this is not an AMC, get a large popcorn and a slurpee type of deal. make it intimate, make it cheap, this is no Challengers.
