Tax AI just got a lot smarter

Tax AI on ITR Stats can now do much more than answer refund delay questions. Here's what's new:

Now live:

  • Which ITR form to file — ITR-1 vs ITR-2 vs ITR-3 vs ITR-4 based on your income type, residency, and entity type. For complex cases, it hands you off to our 5-question ITR Form Selector.

  • Filing deadlines and penalties — Due dates for AY 2026-27, including the new Budget 2026 split (July 31 vs August 31), late filing penalties under Section 234F, and belated/revised return windows.

  • Old vs new regime — Which regime works for your situation, how it affects form selection, and when switching makes sense.

  • Taxpayer-specific guidance — Tailored advice for salaried employees, freelancers, NRIs, and HUFs.

  • Refund delay analysis — Still here. CPC processing speed, backlog size, and delay patterns using live data.

What hasn't changed:

Tax AI is still free, needs no sign-up, and will never ask for your PAN or bank details. It's on every page of ITR Stats — just click the Tax AI button at the bottom-right.

Coming next: Tax calculations, calculator walkthroughs, and portal how-to guides.                                                                                                  Try it: https://itrstats.in
