I am a feminist. But I didn’t used to be. In fact, at school I did a course on women’s studies and the woman who ran it irritated me because it felt like she was making out that everything was about sex and gender. But over the years, my experiences have opened my eyes to the inequality between men and women, and the vastly different expectations society has on the sexes.
