ISSE Office Hours
OFFICE HOURS2026 appears to be off to an inauspicious start for those concerned about the global abuse of emergency powers. Join us for an open discussion of all the most current events, including the dramatic developments in Venezuela—where the government has declared a state of emergency following the U.S. military operation to capture former President Maduro—and the broader implications for international law and executive authority. Additionally, if the Supreme Court issues its much-anticipated ruling on the IEEPA tariffs case (V.O.S. Selections v. Trump) before our session, we'll discuss what the decision means for the limits of presidential emergency powers. 1:00 PM EST on Thursday, January 15 Join via Google Meet: https://meet.google.com/qmn-koap-cva Or dial: (US) +1 484-369-0496 PIN: 493 899 711# Have a topic you'd like us to cover or feedback to share?
