ISC24TX Newsletter: "Happy Holidays" and "Happy Trails"...

This is the banner shows papel picado strung over the Riverwalk in San Antonio, TX.

As I sit here quietly on the morning of December 26, 2025, I am reminded of all of the things that I am grateful for and all of the experiences that I have had this past year.

It’s been 17 months since my friends from all around the world gathered in San Antonio, TX, for the 2024 Edition of the International Sketchnote Camp (#ISC24TX) and five months since Grant and Paddy (of Visual Jam fame)rocked in 2025 in Birmingham, United Kingdom (#ISC25UK)… of which I am still bummed that I missed.

As I look forward to 2026, there will be some great opportunities for sketchnoters and visual practitioners to get together and continue to grow the community.

There are hushed discussions circling #ISC26IT in Verona, Italy, this summer, but all we have right now is the hashtag. I am sure more information will follow shortly. I’m sure that the Godfather of Sketchnoting, Mike Rohde, will let me know when our Italian friends have something to share.

And now for some semi-sad news - it’s time to bid farewell this newsletter and the accompanying ISC24TX website. I’ve backed up the WordPress site, taken a few screenshots, and am letting the site expire in the coming weeks. I am going to keep the domain name going for another year or so and have it reroute to the Instagram page for ISC24TX so that I can continue to point folks towards future events.

So thank you again for all of the memories and a special shout out to all of the sponsors, partners, and friends that have made these special events possible.

I am sure that we will cross paths again and until then, “Happy Trails”,
