Events! In the flesh! Here in Seattle!
Dearest readers,
I have emerged from a week in the woods with many words under my belt (and an acute sleep deficit, TL;DR sharing a single room with a 7-mo-old and a 27-mo-old was a recipe for disaster) and I’m ready to hit the ground running with interviews and events in the lead-up to the release of THE POSSESSION OF ALBA DÍAZ… which happens in less than a month, believe it or not. How the time has flown.
This evening, July 21, I am in conversation with Wendy N. Wagner to celebrate the launch of GIRL IN THE CREEK! Join us at 7pm at Third Place Books (the Lake Forest Park location!) to hear us gush about all things eco-horror and PNW spooky.
WorldCon is here in Seattle August 13-17! On Wednesday, August 13, I will be on the panel “Researching the Occult and the Paranormal,” 4:30-5:30 pm. I will also be having a Table Talk on August 14 at 9-10am, and will likely be stopping by the Dealer’s Room to sign books at the Nooks & Cranny bookshop table, time TBD!
On August 14, I will also be at ConCurrent Seattle, a programming alternative to WorldCon 2025 (which has, as appeared to be per usual for WorldCons, been smattered with controversy). Admission is FREE, but registration required! In person only (and please do bring a mask!). At 10:30-11:30am, I will be on the panel “What is the BIPOC Author Silo?” I’m so excited about the programming that the indomitable Mia Tsai has put together! Check it out!
And finally, la pièce de résistance: on August 19, join me and the Mexican Consulate of Seattle for the book launch of THE POSSESSION OF ALBA DÍAZ at the Seattle Public Library Main Branch at 7pm! I’ll be in conversation with Sadie Hartmann and signing books after! Registration required—smash this link.
