The Life of Chuck @ Cinema 123, 6:45 6/18
This week I’m seeing The Life of Chuck at Cinema 123 by Angelika! I’m going to the 6:45 showing on Wednesday June 18. Cinema 123 has fixed seating. I’m currently in D18, but if you’d like to join and you see that the neighboring seats are taken let me know and we can make arrangements :)
Last week I was in Nashville for CVPR, and this week I am very busy. This is basically the only movie I could find that I’m interested in that fits my schedule! Fun to have so much going on but challenging to make sure I do everything I want :)
I don’t know anything about The Life of Chuck other than it’s written by Stephen King; features Tom Hiddleston, Karen Gillan, and Mark Hamill; and is described as a “life-affirming masterpiece” and a “stunning celebration of the moments that make life worth living.” That’s enough to convince me it’s worth an evening!
The last movie I saw from this newsletter was Shall We Dance. I enjoyed it! It didn’t feel super deep, just sweet and fun. At a few points it had some really excellent shots with great framing that served to highlight the humanity of its subjects during intimate and vulnerable moments. Those moments shined through for me.
