About Dry Grasses @ Film Forum
Tomorrow I'm seeing About Dry Grasses at the Film Forum at 7:15pm! It's a 3.5 hour film in Turkish that "brims with a bitingly melancholy Chekhovian spirit…nimble, alert, and alive." Certainly not for everyone but I am very excited! I saw the trailer back when I went to see The Pianist and now that it's playing I absolutely have to go.
Last week's viewing of the Oscar-nominated animated shorts was wonderful. If you get a chance, I highly recommend taking 20 minutes to watch 95 Senses, "an ode to the body's five senses delivered by a man with little time left to enjoy them." Almost all the shorts made me cry, but this one made me cry the best tears :)
