Last week's newsletter was What kind of movement?, and the Hub call was titled "Noticing".

Last week I asked, "What kind of movement is this?" and went with, "The one that's moving us. It's beyond us..., and made of us, and our choices are both vital and inevitable." It's a dance that we dance in a mix of active and receptive, leading and following, a dependent origination, co-arising interwoven.

I'd like to apply that stance to another word I've found resonant, related to ‘solidifying’ but moving from mechanism to process and more concrete and easily understandable: worlding.

It's a little unusual but you can still guess it fairly well, and I gather that it has been used by people (including by translators of Heidegger's 'das Welten'?) seeking to convey this co-arising sense. I was using "worldbuilding" and "worldcrafting" this week, but those are a little too separated into subject-and-object. Worlding is done by both us and the world simultaneously — intentionally crafting and shaping the world we want to live in, not from the outside but while (and through) living in it already. Channeling what is emerging, simultaneously with building the potential into actuality.

So much polarity management and integration, so very metamodern I guess. "Be the change" though.

We've got to hold the paradox — be big enough to both-and the opposites — or else collapse, to one side or the other. Or, wait, maybe superposition (in the quantum mechanical sense) is even better...

Hold the superposition, and everything is possible.
