Last week's newsletter was "New Developmental Practice Series" and last Sunday's Community Hub call was "Intention".
Something wants to emerge. An evolution into a more complex higher-functioning organism. A greater whole, more than the sum of its parts, without diminishing its pieces.
It calls to me from the Second Renaissance, from the third hour of our ecosystem mapping Oasis Collab-a-thon on Tuesday, from looking around the room at a group intelligence trying to sense a strategic path forward.
It calls to me from the Fractal Seattle crew walking around Greenlake together on Saturday, walking and talking and getting slightly sunburnt while aligning an approach for building a local micro-society.
It calls to me from Lume developmentalists gathering next week to renew the field's impact in the face of the polycrisis, holding the individual-perspectival crown jewels without a societal theory of change.
It calls to me from Limicon's scene of potential, the humming throbbing buzzing field that calls us together into a bubbling soup that portends a magical elixer.
It calls to me from the stories of the Integral movement of Boulder twenty years ago, from the enthusiasm and overextension and collapse, from the lack of (ironically) integration and coherence to hold it all together.
It calls to me from Intentional Society's originating call pointing to the same space as all of these, and from the... yeah I think I see it and I'll say it: from the lack of courage obstructing the crystallization of crisp core purpose right at the heart of what IS is. From my own lack of courage to name the vision and to lead forward in full integrity.
It calls to me from the audacity of the bodhisattva vows and from the compassion of the cross, from the essence of faith as the substance of hope and the evidence of things yet unseen.
It's the call of becoming, of unfolding into wisdom big enough to hold life. It's not just me, or just mine to do. But it is also fully mine, and my response-ability. If you hear this call, then we have work to do (and it has us to be).
