IS Web inaugural Quarterly Convening: "What is this Web?"

You are already a part of this network! However, you likely have very little sense of what this means, and might be asking: How can it help me? What will it do? Do I want to put any time or energy into this?

This event invites you to come see this Web in the faces of others, in the maps we make, and in the sparks we hope to catch towards supporting our individual and mutual intentions. The very first Convening since introducing the IS Web concept in March, you'll learn about the support structures we've already built, and help guide what wants to emerge between us!

There's a chicken-and-egg loop when it comes to defining what this Web/network is, with intention and emergence feeding into each other. Structure and space, form and void — let's dance with both!

A few more notes to those without an invite:

To the 30 people who were active but haven't made contact with the IS Web infrastructure: Reply to this email to get an invite code — we're still waiting for you. We're going to shut down the old system next week; I'll send you one pointed reminder before we do. The Quarterly Convening invitation is not going to anyone still on legacy status in another ten days.

To the person reading this who attended the 5-Year Celebration, or who has tried a Relational Dojo practice, or has read years of newsletters, who is trying to find their people yet is unsure about "do I qualify?": please reply to this email and express interest. We'll invite you either to the Web directly, or to a Connection Call.

Seeing reality

Having a meeting and using a website don't make an IS Web "real," but they do help us see what is already real. Real relationships, real trust, real coordination already exist — and are still partly unseen from every vantage point (including my own near the "center"). Who are we to each other? The more we can see that, the more clear we can get about our choices about how and when to coordinate.

And the more we see our Web, the more we believe in the thing and its properties... the more real it becomes, paradoxically. As it will be, so it is.
