IS: Season 19!
Upcoming events:
- Saturday July 5: extra IS Connection Call
- Sunday July 6: Community Hub Season 19 kickoff
- Thursday July 10: Developmental Practice Series starts
Last week's newsletter was "Rest Week" and the Community Hub did not meet.
Last call to sign up: Developmental Practice Series
We have about a dozen registration slots remaining with one week to go — our first class session is Thursday July 10th at 9am Pacific (Noon Eastern, 4pm UTC).
✨💖📣 Grow beyond your stuckness and expand your aliveness: Starting July 10th, Intentional Society is offering its flagship Developmental Practice Series as a nine-week intensive. Rooted in developmental theory and transmitted via participatory relational practices, this is a world-class training with big-hearted vibes, offering our best “post-conventional wisdom path” sequence absolutely free (limit 50 people). Learn more and sign up here.
The course will include: Empathy Circle, Parts Work (IFS), Interpersonal Gap, T-Group, Circling, Inquiry Spiraling, Nine Whys, Pure coaching + Clean language, and Case Clinic.
Community: Season 19 and ISness
Our "Hub" calls on Sundays have, for the last 4.5 years, been grounded in a seasonal cadence, with a pause after ~12 weeks to bring a breath and a balcony trip for system seeing and awareness. Sometimes a few small leaves unfold, and sometimes the whole system expands and reorganizes, like when the Practice Dojo was birthed at the start of last year.
Fresh calendar invites for the Hub calls of Season 19 (this Sunday through September) just went out to current members, and while the Practice Dojo extends outward I'm declaring a simultaneous Hub theme of diving inward into "ISness", a shared quest for the season.
"ISness" refers to the essence of IS culture, and the quest is to distill and transmit more simply the ISness of how we are together - the capacities we hold, the values we embody, the norms we champion. This will be a light goal that complements (doesn't displace most of) our mainstay Practicing and Exploration sessions. The timeline will be clear, though: we can envision someone finishing the Developmental Practice Series, and then turning to ask "okay what is this community space like?" in early September. I want to have a good answer guide for that person!
Cheers,
James
