IS: Limicon 2025
Upcoming public events:
Semi-private Community Hub calls for Season 17 continue every Sunday through March 23. But now you’ll see why we’ve been quiet on the Practice Dojo front so far this season…

Limicon, the fan-made convention of the Liminal Web, was an amazing experience for me (and 300+ others, offering 150+ sessions) last year. I was such a fan I joined the organizing team for the sequel, and I'm pleased and proud to announce that registration is now open, along with the Hylo social hub and a new Network Map for pregame scheming prior to the March 5 - April 2 open space.
We've lowered the accessible ticket price level from $25 down to $20 (with generous supporter tickets and free need-based tickets also available) and, with a year's worth of momentum and collaboration behind us, I can't wait to see what fantastic movement energy coalesces this time, and what new projects and social structures emerge.
Our own Intentional Ventures space was partly catalyzed by the Metamodern Business Bureau and livelihood discussions inside Limicon 2024. The seeds of the Second Renaissance project were also announced there, and that went on to launch a few months later. We also discovered multiple practitioners at Limicon who later guest-taught at the IS Practice Dojo.
Limicon is such a catalyzer, it functions something like a melting pot, mixer, and hydraulic press: it brings so many energetic atoms into a small space, the whole space heats up from all the contact. I'm hoping to see a phase change of matter this time, dare I say turning the scene into a movement.
I'm looking forward to Intentional Society, Intentional Ventures, Second Renaissance, and the wider developmental-relational practice scene all being well-represented at Limicon 2025. I highly recommend you check it out even if Intentional Society is not your jam — the returns to curiosity, goodwill, and perspective-taking are huge and the array of diversity brings so many possibilities for resonance.
Looking forward to seeing you there,
James
