Upcoming events across the web:

The previous newsletter was "Conscious Evolution Launch Party next week" and last Sunday's Community Call was titled "Hotter Playground".
Reminder: Conscious Evolution Launch Party next week!
Register for the party here.
Then more locally, a new Liminal Stories episode is out, this one featuring yours truly (and yes I notice more resistance in saying "it's me" than "it's Carol" or "it's Jason").
You can see everything (and nothing)
The view from nowhere and everywhere
Foxes and hedgehogs and foxhogs
Titles are hard. I'll try to say the thing instead. The thing I want to say to you today is: there is no amount of developmental perspective expansion that brings self-omniscience. Every loop of the spiral leaves another subtler shadow.
The standard counter is that none of us can see as much as all of us. Yet, where is the practical limit on how a group synthesizes a wiser integrated view than the average of its members? Does it scale more with the capacity of the most complex perceivers, or more with the "center of gravity" of the group?
Trying a different lens, what if we decouple wisdom from complexity capacity. Ah, but then I arrive back at the "no self-omniscience" point at the group level. Is there a solution involving recursing to outside elders or groups-of-groups? Is the recursion just the wisdom gap race again, or is there an "enough" wisdom that handles any level of complexity without being overwhelmed?
Well shit, now that's just equivalent to "is the metacrisis solveable" and it's a matter of faith.
Collective wisdom. That's what this is about. Do we have enough for today, enough for tomorrow? I see no proof possible, and no answer that is not recursively contextual. My gut says that feels known-unknown enough to continue experimenting, learning, growing, and trying.
Cheers,
James
