Last week's newsletter was "What IS is" and the Community Hub session title was "Reconnection and building".
Recall the purest, most awe-filled moment of love you can: Holding your firstborn in your arms, reciting wedding vows, a tender hand squeeze from a hospital bed, a wilderness view from the crest of a mountain ridge, the perfect musical performance, whatever it is for you.
Remember that? Can you feel it in your chest even now? Be with it, let it glow and grow inside you as you be with it for just a minute.
In the second simplicity, in the inclusion after transcendence, in the hero's return home, we find that same love waiting for us. And the kicker is... it's always there. It's in us, and is accessible in every moment, every contact — that same heart-overflowing love. Love your enemies. Universal love. God is love.
Underneath all our striving, all our seeking, all our sensemaking, all our service — there is a melding-towards, an interpenetration, a thing called love. We close ourselves off from it so often, but the more we let it in, the more we can let in.
Remember. It's there in you. Unconditionally. Remember. Blow on the coals. Share the flame. Dare to follow it. Let love flow.
Love,
James
P.S. If this feels inaccessible to you, try some Saturday Night Metta.
