Intentional Society: Condensed wisdom
Want to join up for the start of Season 11? Register here for our next orientation video call on Saturday, July 1st at 1:00-1:55pm Pacific Time (4pm Eastern, 8pm UTC). (Or there will be one on the 8th as well)
Some things I've learned during (and in, and around) this 10th season of Intentional Society, pulled from the relational field onto virtual paper:
Energy only powers something when it flows, and making some connections can unlock significant resonance and activity. It's also good to incorporate resource constraints into one's awareness.
The ever-present dance of structure and emergence (in our community sessions, and in any self-transformative space) is all in service of the aliveness in the flow at the growth edge of transformation.
External sight, of us from others, is a gift of perspective, and feedback offered in such a mode triggers none of the tightness that "I need you to..." invokes.
Reciprocity extends outward in relationship, beyond a transaction or gift exchange out to a stance that allows for more flow.
Commitment invites awareness and accountability, and (gentle, supportive) accountability is in service of the self-to-self relationship.
You "do not have to be good" and you "have no obligation" and it is still also okay to have desires/wishes/ambitions and to serve those desires in integrity.
There is no one single optimal grip for participation in a robust community-ecosystem. It's like the layers of an atmosphere, with balloons floating up and down — smooth transit is good, and the balloons still need to find each other.
Blessings to you. Season finale this Sunday, and next season starts July 9th.
Cheers,
James
