Anthropic's October odds crater to 39%, December holds

Friday, October 2, 2026 · Edition 1

The AI leaderboard is the loudest fight on the board today, and it is having an argument with itself: Anthropic's October odds just collapsed while its December odds barely flinched. Elsewhere, the Fed market and the rate-cut market have quietly agreed on a number nobody was forecasting a week ago: zero.

⚙️ Tech

Will Anthropic have the best AI model at the end of October 2026?

39%, down from 87.5%. The single biggest reprice on today's board, a 47-point drop in a month. The interesting part is what did not move alongside it: the December version of the same question still sits at 54.5%, down only 16 points. The board has repriced October's leaderboard hard and left December mostly intact. Either it expects a recovery by year-end, or the longer market is still catching up.

Will Anthropic have the best AI model at the end of December 2026?

54.5%, the fourth-biggest mover on the board at 16 points lower. Put next to the October market at 39%, the two timeframes disagree by 15 points on the same company holding the same top spot two months apart. A coin-flip in December resting above a priced-as-unlikely October is a bet on reversion, and those two prices cannot both be relaxed about the same trend.

💵 Macro

Will there be no change in Fed interest rates after the October 2026 meeting?

75.5%, and the most-traded market on the board at nearly twice its weekly volume average. A hold is now the heavy favorite, and it has a companion signal: the December 25bps-cut market has collapsed to 1.1%. Read together, the board is pricing not just an October pause but effectively no cuts left in 2026. A month ago a hold was closer to a coin flip. The consensus formed fast.

📈 Crypto

Will Bitcoin dip to $70,000 by December 31, 2026?

30.5%, the second-biggest mover on the board, down 32 points in a month, on volume running 5.3x its own weekly average. The downside case has drained out. But the $92K weekly strike sits at just 3.4%, so neither the slide to $70K nor the sprint higher is priced as likely. The board has boxed Bitcoin into a narrow lane for the rest of the year and is paying up to say so.

🌍 Geopolitics

Israel x Iran ceasefire continues through October 31?

80.5%, and up 9 points over the month, so the ceasefire has grown more durable in the pricing, not less. The contradiction lives on the tails: a Kharg Island seizure sits at 1.7% while a broader regional escalation scenario still carries an 11% tail. The board heavily favors calm through October and simultaneously keeps a non-trivial price on things falling apart. Both cannot be fully right.

🗳️ Politics

2026 Balance of Power: R Senate, R House

7.5%, and it did not move a cent. What makes this one worth a line is the flow: $341K changed hands in 24 hours against a roughly $35K daily baseline, roughly ten times normal, with the price frozen at 7.5%. Heavy volume that gets fully absorbed without nudging a low probability is a rare configuration. The number stayed still; the activity did not.

→ Polymarket

The theme today is markets disagreeing with their own future selves: Anthropic in October versus December, Bitcoin stuck between two strikes it won't touch, a ceasefire that is both durable and quietly fragile. The prices are confident. The timelines are not.
