February Burst Transmission

**bzzt*krkl** hello? Hello! I've been stationed in this bunker for the past six weeks and my tour demands another six, so this is my only transmission in-between here and then. I hope you're all doing well!

Basically I took on a lot more work than I thought I'd be reasonably able to handle, so I'm handling an unreasonable amount of work! It's necessary for survival though, so while this is difficult, it will hopefully make the things in the future way better. The mantra is "the only way out is through." So let's get down to it!

What are you working on? I'm working on a short story called Barbaria, a portal SF about a barbarian in another world. It's a bit of a send-up of John Norman's GOR series that I watched recently (TLDR: Movies: good! Books: bad!). My Zero Draft is complete and I'll be refining that over the next few weeks. Regardless of what shape it's in, good, bad or ugly, I'll be posting it here for subscribers to read when I come back.

Comics? Owl continues to update! These comics will continue to post monthly at the end of each month. Illustrations will be coming every week. This series is the street fighter I series, and if you look, you can piece them all together into a single illustration!

In other fun news, my friend Vivi Partridge's Muppet zine has sold out! If you've got a copy, well consider yourself fortunate! I got to participate by contributing a Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem illustration that I'm really proud of.

And speaking of friends, Fell Hound has a new webstore up, and I encourage you to go check it out! There's a lot of great work, and I'm sure there's something that you'll want. Also: free shipping on Canadian orders!

Fell also contributed something to The Hectic Love Lives of the Mythical, which is ready to back over on Backerkit!

"Medusa, a vampire, a werewolf, a demon, a faerie and a mermaid walk into a bar...wait...that’s not the start of a joke! This queer bunch is actually part of awesome tales about their chaotic love lives. Join them for feels and shenanigans."

Convention appearances? No appearances are planned until after May, and even then, I think it'll be pretty sparse! That being said, here are some great shows coming your way:

Cartoon Foundry
Saturday, May 23, 10-4
Central branch of the Hamilton Public Library
Artist alley tables still available!

Anime North
Friday, May 22 at 5 pm to Sunday, May 24 at 6 pm
Toronto Congress Centre (650 Dixon Road) and Delta Airport Hotel (655 Dixon Road)

TCAF
June 6-7

Looking for more North American shows? There's tons of them! Check out the Canadian Comics Open Library for more information and resources.

Transmissions here will resume May 1st! Until then, stay safe and sound, readers!
