Hello, friends! I hope you had a great week. This week I feel giving, so I’m sharing a couple more links than usual. I hope you enjoy them!

Links

  • Berkshire Hathaway’s Stock Price vs. 32-Bit Integers [2m]
    Sometimes the unexpected happens.
  • The Differences between Su, Sudo Su, Sudo -s and Sudo -i [5m]
“Do one thing and do it well”. Yeah, right. The Unix philosophy is dead (see below)
  • 2FA is missing a key feature. [2m]
I got to say, I’ve never thought of this and now I cannot think of something else.
  • Robotic ‘Third Thumb’ use can alter brain representation of the hand [6m]
When i was a kid I remember people saying “evolution will get rid of your pinky toe as it has no use”… what if e we got it wrong and the next step in evolution is instead adding an extra thumb?
  • Unix is not an acceptable Unix [6m]
I really wish we go back to the original idea for CLI tools.

Video of the week

Backyard Squirrel Maze 2.0- The Walnut Heist [20m]
If you haven’t watched the first video, then shame on you. At first I thought it was a great example of engineering and clever ideas… and then I realised that squirrels and nature are even more awesome.

Epilogue

Before you get too excited, yes, I know, two consecutive episodes?! I had a 5 days weekend, so I managed to find time. I also thought long about my current workflow and how can I improve it. It’s still a work in progress, but I have a couple ideas.

In the meantime, I could really use your help by getting feedback on this newsletter and its contents.

Have a great weekend.
