¡Hola, amigos! As you might have noticed, last week there was no issue of this newsletter; I want to apologise for that. There are some things going on in my life that I’ll make public soon that got me distracted and never scheduled the issue to be delivered. Let’s get into it!
Links
- Programmer vs developer [4m]
Interesting article that discusses the difference in being a programmer and a developer. Great to accompany your morning coffee and get you thinking. - An unlikely database migration [7m]
Sometimes just a text file will take you a long way, and Tailscale has a great write up on how they are doing business with a JSON text file. - Selecta: a fuzzy selector for your command line [4m]
This is an amazing tool that allows you to interactively select elements from STDIN and print them in STDOUT. If my poor description doesn’t convince you, try checking the examples in the README!
Video of the week
Mars Rover Landing Overview [18m]
Without a doubt the biggest news of the week was NASA landing a freaking robot in Mars. This video from one of my favourite YouTubbers tells in layman terms more about how was the landing process. I cannot stop being amazed at what humanity can do.
Epilogue
Once again I’d like to apologise about last weeks missing issue. Things are settling down at home I now have again the proper time to dedicate to this newsletter. Next week it should be delivering again on the regular schedule of Fridays at 14:00 UTC. See you next time!
