New Medium Post: "Nothing Is ‘Normal’ About Irene Adler"
I've been on Medium for about six months now, quietly uploading most of my backlist. Last week the Medium publication Counter Arts published my newest nonfiction piece, "Nothing Is ‘Normal’ About Irene Adler." It's about the character of Irene Adler as she appears in the Sherlock Holmes canon, and the weird things that happen when she's adapted to the screen.
(The piece was originally called "Nobody is normal about Irene Adler," but the editor changed it. It's their publication, they can do what they like.)
You can read up to 3 paywalled pieces on Medium per month; past that point, they want you to shell out for a subscription. I get a bit of a kickback for every paid subscriber who reads one of my pieces.
Anyway, it's a quick read--about 5 minutes. If you like Sherlock Holmes and/or essays about the ways men write women, check it out.
Also: Podcast Appearance on I Will Fight You
The latest episode of I Will Fight You is about Interview with the Vampire and also includes so, so many audio drops from What We Do in the Shadows. Our editor, Lucas Brown, really outdid himself with this one.
You can listen to the episode here, or wherever podcasts are found.
