Things the community is reading
Gboard double-sided version (h/t, Dave Jones): Is this a joke? I think this is a joke, right? A möbius-strip keyboard allowing (translated from the Japanese) “You can type from any angle.” I’m checking the calendar and it’s not April … do they do April Fools in October in Japan? I’m confused, this is probably a joke … but I also want to try it? Maybe?
Novo Nordisk becomes biggest company in Europe (h/t Tony Drake): The company accomplished this feat on the back of Ozempic, the “miracle” weight loss drug with the most name-brand recognition.
Meet Indiana’s New GenAI Chatbot: A Cautious Introduction (h/t Katie Hughes): Head on over to in.gov to try it yourself, though the most interesting thing about it might be the lengthy disclaimer you’ll have to agree to first.

If your company is hiring, post your job here.
If you’re hunting for a job, the full job board is here or you can follow along in #jobs in our Slack. Or: Just reply to this email with what you’re looking for.
One last thing
This edition, we’re handing the last word over to Zach, Indy Hackers’ President …
Hey Indy Hackers!
One of the best things about this community is the stories I keep hearing about people finding real opportunities—whether it's landing a job, connecting with a cofounder, finding that superstar employee, or even discovering new customers. This group has been a bright spot in what's been a tough year for tech. Your participation, whether you're making an intro, mentoring a junior hacker, or sharing your love (or hate) for mechanical keyboards, has made a real impact.
We, on the board, are pushing hard to make it even better. More in-person events? You got it. We're redesigning the website to make the events calendar and job board more accessible. We're also building partnerships with other tech-focused organizations to open up even more opportunities for you.
But here's the deal—we need your help. We're starting to fundraise, and 100% of what we raise goes back into this community. The board is all-volunteer, so every dollar directly supports things like better events, more resources, and bigger opportunities for everyone. You'll be seeing more information about sponsorship tiers soon, but we wanted to give you a heads-up on why these funding messages are popping up now. We've already got some early sponsors lined up (you'll see them in the announcements soon), but we need more to keep going.
If you or your company are in a position to support Indy Hackers, now's the time. It's a chance to give back to the community that's helping shape the tech scene in Indiana. Reach out to us at sponsors@indyhackers.org or contact me directly at zach@indyhackers.org (or on Slack @zcard). We're ready to chat!
Thanks for being part of this community. Let's keep building something amazing together!
Best,
Zach Cardwell
President, Indy Hackers
