A cup of kindness yet

It was a fantastic evening seeing so many Hackers in person as we renewed the Holiday Social last week.
More than a hundred people packed into Liter House and mingled, played old school Gamecube, or board games aplenty.
It’s this community that drives our work here at Indy Hackers. It’s why we exist, to bring people together like this.
If you missed the event, you also missed a few announcements.
Notably, we are planning on a fresh community survey, and a community board meeting early next year.
Look forward to more details in the coming editions - starting with a 2024 in review next time we grace your inbox.

Meetup. Of. The. Fortnight!
We’re light on the meetups this month due to the holidays. See you next year!

New on the Job Board
The IndyHackers job board is free to companies and the community. Our goal is to help as many community members as possible land jobs they love at companies based here in Indiana, growing the community of hackers throughout the state.
If your company is hiring, post your job here.
If you’re hunting for a job, the full job board is here or you can follow along in #jobs in our Slack. Or: Just reply to this email with what you’re looking for.
One last thing
This time of year means many things to people.
For some, it’s a joyous season of family, and gifts, and eggnog and tinsel.
For some, not so much.
It’s dark. It’s cold. And it can be lonely.
What the social last week reminded me is that sometimes, family can be the folx we find.
Whatever your family - found, inherited, selected, or imaginary - may this holiday season be quiet, peaceful, restful and refreshing.
Log off if you can. Grate some fresh nutmeg on your eggnog. Fire up a good, familiar movie - holiday or not.
And to close with something I’ve said this time of year since I was a kid …
See you next year!
