A free planner for activists is coming!
Plus: the 1st anniversary of Impure Leftist
Overwhelm, burnout, and crushing guilt are not the right fuel for the revolution. Unfortunately, many activists slog through them day after day. (Many more folks won’t even consider themselves activists because they’re mired in this toxic sludge.)
I’m creating a planner for sustainable solidarity. It helps you create a realistic focus, narrowing your scope based on how it fits in the rest of your life, and acknowledging all the ways you make the world a better place—not just whatever you idolize as “real” activism. It’s built around rest, joy, and releasing guilt, while you attune your action to your energy and capacity.
Newsletter readers will have the opportunity to be beta testers, and all of you will receive a free printable planner when it’s released. (My goal is around December 15, because a lot of us love a new planner for the new year, even if it’s undated.)
I’ll be putting together a survey soon to get specific info about what you’d want in an activist planner, but for now, I’d love to hear your initial ideas.
We’re also coming up on the ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY of Impure Leftist! I’m proud of launching this project & very excited for the collective future we’re building. Now that family court is in a lull and my child has safely been with me for 2 months, I’m turning more of my attention here. I am so glad that you’re still here, even if you originally signed up to my “Vibrant Vulnerability” list. And I would love to hear from you about how I can support your activism through this work.
I hope you’re having a beautiful weekend, and giving yourself permission to enjoy life even when the world is about as far from perfect as it could be. The way we show up to change work is just as important as the visions we have for the future.
Much love,
Nat
PS. We’ll have trial coming up soon in family court, and I’m hoping to raise $10k-$15k to get over the finish line. Supporting the newsletter or making a direct donation are deeply appreciated.
