we're coming for our roses

updates on my new installation that opens 6/12 and an upcoming live performance on 6/18.

happy pride month, friends. it’s been a busy time and there’s a handful of stuff to announce.

ASPIRÉMONOS launches!

my last few notes have mentioned that i have a sound art installation and accompanying lathe cut record in the works. i’m proud to say that it is done, ready to be installed, with records available for preorder on Bandcamp. the record (itself used in the installation) contains five lock grooves on its A side and the full composition on the B side. the audio was mastered by A.F. Jones at Laminal Audio, the records cut by Precarian Cuts, and the sleeves printed by Paper Press Punch.

it feels good to hold these in one’s hands

the installation is part of “T4T”, a group art show at The Factory (1216 10th Ave, Seattle, WA, 98122) that opens on June 12, 2025 from 6-10 PM. lots of friends will be there, including tattoo artist Bed By Ten (the source of my infamous hotdog tattoo), who has a show-specific flash sheet(!). more details are in the flyer below.

The Factory. 1216 19th Ave. t4t is an amplification of pure trans joy— a celebration of trans community, where we are stronger together.t4t is trans people giving each other our roses. t4t is a group art show made by and for our community, and is open to everyone who arrives with care, curiosity, and respect. It’s open to all who support and celebrate trans lives— and closed to anything less.
i love this mosaic, too.

unpoetry performance on june 18

if you’ve been following the last few messages you know i’ve been hyping the unpoetry performance series organized by Eric M. Acosta. Eric and I got to chatting finally a few weeks back and we thought it’d be cool to do something together, so i naturally said yes when given the chance to participate in one of the unpoetry events in conversation with Till the Teeth’s installation we being so at the Jack Straw Cultural Center (4261 Roosevelt Way NE Seattle, WA 98105). join us on June 18th at 7 PM; i’ll be there, along with Aaron Butler/Peter Tracy/Carlos Cotallo Solares, Sofia O, Shankar Narayan, and Eric/Till the Teeth.

other activities

well, other than wrapping up the installation we haven’t been up to a whole lot. christian nationalists came to Seattle twice, which i am not happy about. on happier notes: i’ve had a few backyard dinners at my girlfriend’s place. i saw Sophie Lewis give a book talk with Emi Koyama on Enemy Feminisms. i finally finished season 2 of The Rehearsal. and i’ve been continuing to train for the Pride Deadlift Party.
