I’m really glad you’re here.

This is the very first email for Cozy Chaos with Imogen, which already feels like the right name because my life, my writing process, and my brain are all… lovingly chaotic. Cozy, but chaotic.

I started this newsletter because I wanted a quieter place to talk about writing and creativity. Somewhere that isn’t ruled by algorithms or expectations. Think of this less like a newsletter and more like a letter I send when I have something meaningful or honest to share.

Here’s what you’ll usually find in your inbox from me:

• behind-the-scenes updates from my writing life

• occasional book news and little lore peeks

• creative rambles, cozy thoughts, and gentle chaos

• the human side of being an author (especially in busy seasons)

I won’t be emailing on a strict schedule. Sometimes it’ll be once a month, sometimes a little more or less (always intentional, never spammy).

Right now, I’m deep in the writing/publishing world and balancing that with real life, which means a lot of stolen moments, half-finished cups of coffee, and notes scribbled wherever I can find space. There are sticky notes everywhere. I wish I was joking. It’s messy, but it’s good, and I’m excited to share pieces of it with you here.

I am currently about 10k words into the second book of The Blood of Illucidia Duology! It’s very exciting and also very stressful. As you may know, I’m in the midst of my very first book launch. It has been an experience, but I have really amazing people supporting me, and I am so so so grateful for them. (Shout out to my Street Team! Hi, Mom.)

There will also be a special edition hardcover in the future! I am still in the design process, but this book will feature beautiful color character art, color chapter headers, and a color map. I am also looking into digital print “sprayed” edges! I’ll let you know when I have more concrete information for that release.

I do have the title for the second book picked out! Once Half Breed is fully launched and floating, I’ll release the next title.
