15: Upcoming events in Norwich/online (2 April), and Utrecht (22 April), and a PhD studentship
Just a quick update from the Institute for Sustainable Worlds: we have two events in the near future, and a new PhD studentship on offer.

Designing Sustainable Worlds, 2 April, 15.00 BST
Join us on Thursday 2 April for our next Designing Sustainable Worlds hybrid seminar at Norwich University of the Arts, where Josie Chambers and Sarah de Villiers will be exploring the Art and Architecture of Reimagining Futures.
Register here
Our two speakers will share, through their own international work, how artistic methods and architectural practice can intersect with imagination through a critical justice lens. If you're interested in design, architecture, futures, sustainability/transitions, and creative education and research, please do join.
Everyone welcome — please register to get the Teams link, or if you're in Norwich, join us in person in Duke Street. 15.00–16.00 BST, i.e. GMT+1.

Embody the Future workshop, 22 April, at SURF Futures Day
Roy Bendor (TU Delft) and I will be running a workshop, Embody the Future, at the SURF Futures Day in Utrecht, an event bringing together researchers and educators in the Netherlands to explore approaches to the future. Our approach is building on some of the methods we’re developing in our research and teaching.

PhD studentship with Norfolk Museums Service
Are you interested in doing a practice-based PhD with Norwich University of the Arts and Norfolk Museums? As part of the AHRC-funded 'Collections & Communities in the East of England' collaborative doctoral programme, we have a funded studentship for October 2026:
https://norwichuni.ac.uk/research-and-knowledge-exchange/research-degrees/phd-studentship-for-the-public-good/
You'd be working with Nicola Simpson and myself, together with Hannah Henderson and Louisa Wickham at the Museum of Norwich, exploring the power of community engagement, co-production and innovative creative practice around collecting. If you're interested, we have information sessions in April (online and in-person) — more details at the link.
Take care of each other
