Hi all,
Celine wrote an essay on our vision for designing software to help you do creative, collaborative projects — how and why we're working to make Hyperlink useful for projects that don't easily break down into simple lists of tasks, but are more like adventures, emergent and exploratory.
This piece touches on…
Give it a read; share with a project-doer close to you!
If you're inspired, you can dive in and start planning some projects for the new year. By yourself, or better still, with a friend!
In other news this month—
We've been working on ways to better support internet gatherings — groups coming together to make / do / explore interesting things. Think cozy cohorts, unconferences, learning clubs.
or how about…
Open collections of internet happenings? Pop-up events like a zine fair? A 'reading studio' for exploring books together? A collaborative menu of recipes for self-guided projects?
We've been having some invigorating conversations recently, pulling us back to our roots, orbiting this big vision of a networked internet university / campus / learning web. We're getting closer to having all the pieces in place for this, which is exciting.
As we head into the holidays, we're preparing for some fun experiments in Jan + Feb. We may have bandwidth to help with a couple more — this means both ongoing support in planning and facilitating your gathering with Hyperlink, and tailored improvements to the app based on your needs.
Reach out ASAP if you have something we should collab on in Q1 2024!
Have a restful December and see you in the new year,
The Hyperlink Team
