We're busy on a few fronts and want to share what we've been up to, and ways you can get involved—
Join Us to Get Meta
One, our new Meta Course is starting later this month, and we're excited to jam with you, not only on courses but clubs and research projects and learning communities — any kind of experiment you might like to play with together.
We've got a good number of folks signed up already, but still some spots left, please reach out if you're interested. You can also preview the Meta Course in Hyperspace.
Experiments in Hyperspace
Two, we're continuing development with Hyperspace. Still early, but we've had a lot of fun playing already, doing casual demos and even using in one course so far (shoutout to Jake and Fantastic Beasts!)
We have some things planned that we're really excited about — building blocks for structuring learning, like events and logs, that we think will be powerful for a range of collaborative contexts.
If you're interested in a space for doing a learning project, course, club, research, or something similar, let's talk. We'd love to see you in the Meta Course if you can make it, but also happy to find some other time to chat. We want to hear what you'd find most helpful in tools / infrastructure / spaces for internet learning :)
Learning about Learning Communities
Three, building on the above, we'd love to meet folks involved with learning communities! Long term, one of our big goals for Hyperlink is not only creating and incubating learning experiences directly, but also supporting all kinds of incredible alternative schools and independent institutions with learning at their core.
And there are all kinds — we're thinking of the School for Poetic Computation and the Interintellect; Recurse Center and the Brooklyn Institute for Social Research; Afrotectopia and the Silver Beach Institute, Colin and Angélica's new project Altminster…the list goes on and on!
