Hyperlink is here, and we're excited to tell you all about it!
We're a team of three, building https://hyperlink.academy/ — a new internet school, and a platform for facilitating awesome learning experiences.
Our priority is learning that's based around people, designed to be meaningful and effective. We're creating courses ourselves, and laying the foundations for infrastructure we hope will power many more.
We've got lots cooking right now, including some cool new features in progress, like seedlings to catalyze course ideas, and templates for building the structure of your course. And we're in the midst of experimenting with some great courses — more on all that coming soon.
For now, we wanted to say hello, let you know a bit about what we've been working on so far, and put out a beacon for anyone else excited about the potential for better ways to teach and learn.
To that end, we made you a beautiful trio of posts on our brand new blog!
Get the Hyperlink explainer / origin story / call to action in our Hello World post:
We wrote about seven archetypes for courses — different possibilities for what a learning experience can be:
And finally, a book summary of Ivan Illich's prescient pedagogical classic, Deschooling Society:
Stay tuned for further updates as we get our first slate of courses launched, and tackle the roadmap we've got planned for the Hyperlink platform!
If you haven't said hello yet, let's chat more on the Hyperlink Forum and get to know each other.
Our community forum powers course-specific discussion, but it's also where you'll find Hyperlink events (e.g. website show and tells), ad-hoc meetups, and great conversations around learning.
If you're interested in facilitating a course, workshop, or similar learning experiment, let us know, we'd love to have you join us for the Meta Course and take Hyperlink for a spin!

P. S. — we're currently on the lookout for a nemesis. Not a school per se (we've got a lot of love for great alternative schools) but maybe a learning platform / technology that can serve as foil, that we can plot to vanquish… Let us know if you have suggestions 😜
