Hello, hypernauts!
A couple things for you this week—
First, we've published a new post in the Hyperlink Library, on things to consider in designing for accessible and inclusive learning:
Hyperlink Library - Designing Accessible and Inclusive Learning
It's primarily in the context of online course creation, but there's a lot here that may be useful to keep in mind for more casual facilitation, peer learning clubs, and really any time you're part of a learning group and want to make sure it's a positive experience for all participants.
This is a living document, and we appreciate any suggestions for how we can build on this. We also know there's plenty we can improve in our own learning activities and how we're building Hyperlink — let us know if you notice specific things we can work on here.
Special thanks to Stephen for prompting this a few months back in one of our Meta Course conversations.
Second, we're putting out an informal call for workshops in Hyperspace—
If you'd like to experiment with an intensive single session learning experience, and figure out how it could take advantage of our new collaborative learning environment, let's talk.
We'd love to try some new Hyperspace-based learning experiences, and open to any ideas, but particularly things that could be fun, active, and meaningful in a more self-contained event. If you have an idea for something you think could work well, let us know! Or help spread the word.
Related: we've been thinking lately about marketing, growth, and expanding the hyperverse. We have some ideas, including not only exciting initiatives like more and better tweets, but (one example) things like microgrants for self-driven learning projects in Hyperspace.
If you have ideas for things we should try or people to talk to, as always, we're listening!
