Yet another email on this day of emails
I haven’t written in a while, huh? And what a day to pick. What’s been up:
Vapormage is on the shelves at Broadway Books, in Portland! Apparently, they’ll take books on consignment from time to time, which was kinda the only way I was going to get a book in a bookstore. It seems the “print on demand” stack that my book runs through makes it really iffy for bookstores. Wish I knew that. …Also kinda doubt there’s any avenue open to me as a no-name indie author that won’t have that problem, but shrug.
If you haven’t and are willing to, I will once again ask for reviews of the book wherever you would do that. It matters, and it’s one bit of promotion I absolutely cannot do myself.
There’s a Black Friday sale going on for Vapormage because of course there is. The ebook should be $3 everywhere, down from its standard $5. I’ll leave it up like that until Christmas.
I’ve pivoted to video, as the joke goes. (The joke is Facebook. Facebook is a joke.) What actually happened is, I’ve been seeing a therapist who’s been encouraging me to be less perfectionist about letting out creative energy. That way, I don’t go 6-8 years between output, y’know? So I vlogged a little trip I took, and I’ll keep trying to do little things like that. If you’re following my stuff just for the writing, you may be a little disappointed, but this is me doing this so all the themes and ideas will blur together anyway.
It will not surprise those who know me that I’m being screened for ADHD, which I kinda hope does come back positive, so I can get some help dealing with that, so I can get to doing and making more things that I want to.
…I don’t really have a thing to end this on. I guess, thanks to all of y’all who take any interest in the stuff I put out there, however chaotic and amateurish and scattershot it may be.
Cheers!
