Big changes to the Harm Reduction Briefing!
Hi everyone,
16 survey responses and 3 interviews later, your feedback has driven the following changes in the Harm Reduction Briefing:
-
The loudest takeaway…some people prefer receiving the briefing daily but the majority want less emails. A new option sends the briefing twice-weekly, Monday and Thursday mornings. Manage your subscription to switch over.
-
Strong support for a way to search past briefing hits. Now releasing the Library. Researchers and students can export hits in bulk. (I’d appreciate a shoutout if you publish.)
-
Readers prefer topics such as emerging drugs, homelessness, equity, and overdose prevention centers. The large New England audience wants regional content. I’ve added more sources and am skewing the newsletter towards favored topics.
-
Adding a form where the community can submit links to the newsletter. Feel free to send in your research articles and coverage about your team’s accomplishments.
-
Pausing the podcast/audio because people are minimally using it and the feature has costs. But speak up if you want it back.
-
Adding a featured resource section. Kicking off this section with SafeSpot.
I hope you enjoy the changes!! I’m keeping the survey open for anyone who still wants to submit their votes for favorite topics. Glad to hold more user interviews and do a virtual coffee and hear about your work!
These tools remain free and accessible but in the future I’ll be exploring sliding scales. If you want to thank me, forward the briefing to a friend!
Best,
Christian
