I had to take a break from creative projects, for a positive reason -- I was completely wiped out after April 27th at Monument. I'm easing back into it with this non-technical essay about building systems vs. making music, with a particular focus on some of the fundamental curses of working with algorithmic composition.

Argumentative writing as a genre is an experiment for me, and frankly I'm not sure if I'm any good at it, but it certainly was fun writing this and it seems relevant enough to this audience. Regular DSP programming will resume.
