DM Synthesis

Here are a few sound synthesis techniques inspired by digital modulation schemes in radio communication. It's pretty simple as far as DSP goes, but conjures a pretty interesting variety of weird, warbly sounds:

I’m starting to take the research stage of blog articles more seriously, if not to academic standards, and also ensure that articles have both audio samples and instructive visuals. It’s a lot of work to do all that, but I think it’s worth it and results in a higher-quality resource.

Other news:

• I decluttered my Bandcamp a bit by taking down some old self-released music that I'm not very happy with (two singles, "Lavender Machine" and "Firstborn"). If you still want the files for some reason, just email me. I won't take down anything else from Bandcamp, I promise!
• Big projects are under way. See you in 2025.
