Hit Subscribe State of the Business June 2026
This is a transcript for Hit Subscribe's monthly state of the business meeting. You can listen to the recording or just read this succinct summary:
Website Rebrand in Progress: Hit Subscribe is updating its solutions page and overall positioning to reflect how the business has evolved. The new framing moves away from "developer marketing" as a label and toward broader categories like company stage and content complexity. Technical content work isn't going away, but the brand is no longer leading with it.
Shoutout to Arnab: Arnab continues to do strong work in the content ops role, handling CMS operations, prototyping new processes, and going out of his way to make clients' lives easier.
Amanda, Co-Founder: A reminder that Amanda, Erik's wife and 50% co-founder since the beginning, is actively serving in a content manager and editorial policy role. Authors may find themselves working with her.
Referral Program: The referral bonus is 10% of first-year revenue from any client you bring in, paid out quarterly. For a client at $7k/month, that's $8,400 over the year. The easiest referrals tend to be companies with in-house technical or content staff, a budget of at least $5k/month, and a need for search visibility. Osiris (the SEO/GEO arm) is also an accessible entry point for smaller budgets around $1k/month.
SEO and GEO Services: Hit Subscribe is increasingly positioning itself as a full-service SEO and GEO shop, with tooling sophisticated enough that it's now being piloted with other marketing agencies as well.
