Trail reports
Mesa Butte (Death's Head) - completed by Matthew Clay
We intersected a trail when we reached the summit ridge and followed it up and over the southern summit and onward to the main summit. Neither summit offered a view, but by continuing about 100 m further north, losing just a couple meters of elevation in the process, we reached a small meadow above a steep bank where a decent panorama to the north and northwest unfolded.
Length: 10 km
Elevation Gain: 450 m

Rawson Lake Snowshoe - completed by Nicci Fedorek
Once the trail levels out, it is easing going until you reach the lakeshore where you are rewarded with stunning views, even on a cloudy socked-in day like we had.
Distance: 7.55 km
Elevation Gain: 412 m
Duration: 3 hrs

Mount Quirk - completed by Ali Sekera
This was a rather undulating hike up a more obscure foothill in the McLean Creek Off Highway Vehicle PLUZ. Cumulative elevation gain was 905m, but net elevation gain only 420m! Many a hill on the road was climbed both on ascent and descent. A round trip of 24.5km meant that we really worked hard for this little summit. Still a good day out avoiding increasing avalanche danger.
Distance: 24.5 km
Elevation Gain: 905 m
Duration: 7.25 hrs

Exshaw Mountain - completed by John Schelesnak
Views are great of surrounding peaks like Heart Mt & Grotto. The view east over the foothills is quite nice as well.
Distance: 3.2 km
Elevation Gain: 472 m
Duration: 2.0 - 3.0 hrs

Rawson Lake - completed by Alexandra
What a morning it was here! It seemed surreal in a way. There were the odd touches here and there that made it that much more beautiful. Snow covered boulders scattered along the edge of the Upper Kananaskis Lake.
Rawson Lake is a favorite of mine and I always love seeing photos of it. Read here trip report here: http://alexmac2008.blogspot.ca/2018/01/rawson-lake-upper-kananaskis-lake.html
Boom Lake Backcountry Ski - completed by Tanya Koob
This popular snowshoe trail ends at a gorgeous backcountry lake, and is very much worth the journey. Honestly though, it's just way too much fun on a pair of light touring skis to make me ever want to walk up (and back down) the trail.
Distance: 10 km
Elevation Gain: 180 m
