I have been surrounding myself with books of poetry and poetic prose lately.

Multiple library trips and frequent online catalog searches.

Bingeing on Patti Smith.

Trying out new-to-me poets coupled with a steady dose of Gary Snyder.

I don't know why I feel such a strong craving for poetry currently.

Maybe it's a natural cycle, the flip side of the coin to my recent focus on artificial intelligence and related topics.

Maybe it's a natural outgrowth of this haiku habit I've rekindled via this email project.

Or maybe it's a vital nutrient in this crazy world.

Any recommendations of poets or books to check out?
