Hi-Q: harvesting runoff
an unfortunate amount of land, whether former field or forest, around my house has been turned into red clay wasteland lately.
some of the transformation is for the building of ever more houses and some seems to be a personal passion project of a property owner.
the latter is not nearly as bad, if only for scale, but when will we learn that clear cutting isn't a necessity for growth?
that people like trees and wildness and that new neighborhoods can be built within nature and not despite of it?
