Weekly Session #3 + TinyFish Accelerator
Hi everyone,
We hope you enjoyed last Friday's conversation with Conor, and we are excited to have him as an ongoing resource for HAVAC.
As usual, Weekly Session #3 is this Friday, 7-8 PM, in the VCAM Makerspace. For the first 30 minutes, we’ll discuss how to talk to (potential) users/customers both pre- and post-launch. Then we’ll help you with your existing projects, or set you up with tools to build your first project (even if you have never written code before).
At this session, we’ll also launch the HAVAC Founders Network! We spoke about this at our first session but to reiterate, logging your venture here helps us connect it to the Ford Ventures network and binds the HAVAC board to confidentiality while your startup is in stealth. These privileges and protections will be laid out in the HAVAC Founders Network Policy currently under review.
Harry Levin ‘14 (Associate, Ballard Spahr LLP) is a startup lawyer in Philly. Harry will join us at our weekly session next Friday (04/03) to chat about various startup-relevant topics like IP protection, registering your startup, cap tables, vesting schedules, etc. He is happy to share resources for aspiring Haverford founders.

TinyFish is hosting The TinyFish Accelerator with applications open till March-end.
Please check the link for details. In short, it’s a 9-week accelerator with $2M in seed funding. The application is simple: you have to build a basic prototype using the TinyFish API (provided for free). You can also request $2000 in free Google Gemini API credits to get started.
Feel free to reach out to Siyan Wang ‘18 (GTM & Ops, TinyFish) via LinkedIn.
From Akramjon Abdurakhimov: UPenn is hosting a co-founder speed dating community night tomorrow (Wednesday). If you have a Penn ID, this is a great opportunity to meet people interested in startups.
Please reach out with any questions, projects, or ideas, and if you’d like to guide a discussion. See you soon!
Best,
Fahim & Reid
