The Hands and Feet of Jesus

Happy Happenings Happy Happenings

As we step into 2026, we pause with deep gratitude to reflect on the many people who walked through the gates of Happy Life Mission in 2025—and the lasting impact they left behind.

Covenant Church group with the Peter and Faith

Throughout the year, we were blessed to welcome mission teams and individuals from near and far, including Covenant Church, Reformation Presbyterian, and many others who chose to journey with us locally and internationally. Each visit brought encouragement, service, laughter, worship, and a reminder that Happy Life Mission is not walking this journey alone.

For many of our visitors, the experience was life-changing.

Shane, from the Covenant Church says,

“The mission trip to Kenya was a dream come true for me. I feel truly blessed for the opportunity to spend the time I did with the children and house moms at happy life. I don’t have words to explain what I felt while we were there. I have tried many times and all I know is you have to experience It for yourself. I can tell you all the stories and show you pictures but it doesn’t do it justice. It leaves you with a whole new perspective of life and what truly matters. I believe we can all learn something from how they worship The Lord. They pour their hearts and souls into their worship like nothing I’ve ever seen before.“

Simply having a good time with the children of Happy Life Mission

Dr. Steve, also from the Covenant Church, who visited with his wife and son, reflected:

“I was always looking for a mission trip that my wife and son and I could share together. The trip to Happy Life Mission in Nairobi, Kenya was perfect for us. We were able to step away from life’s distractions to witness what God’s love looks like in action. The work they do every day to care for babies, children, and young adults was a beautiful picture  of what God can do through people who love and trust Him. Joining with them in this work was a special gift for us. It’s such a well named place. So much happiness there!“

But while these visits deeply impact those who come, our greatest hope is always centered on what the children experience.

Receiving certificates from Peter and Faith

Levi, from Reformation Presbyterian Church, says,

My hope is, that the children who are cared for by Happy Life Mission have the following thoughts regarding the volunteers and mission groups who visit them at HLM (that if any of those kids felt the opening statement, that this would be the statement they leave Happy Life with).

“Jesus is my father. I saw Him live through every group of volunteers and missionaries that came through. His words came through the lips of all who visited us. He spoke through Kenyans, Americans, and the others from around the world. He was there for every birthday. He found me in my low moments, in the dark lonely nights, His words came to me. They were spoken by this missionary, or that volunteer, but they were His words just the same. Jesus has visited me and Jesus has cared for me. Jesus has never left me. Jesus is my hope, because He never abandoned me. He spoke to me through my Christian brothers and sisters from around the world.”

My hope is that my kids at Happy Life see Jesus the same way. I know that I found brothers there. I found men that I could respect doing God's work, God's way. It wasn't easy, the work was hard, the weight was heavy. Brothers in Jesus I found. Sisters in Jesus I found, doing God's work, God's way. By God’s grace I hope we left the same mark on them.

Please take up the call to go. Hundreds of orphans have been helped. Kids are still being abandoned this month. If Happy Life was not there, who would be? Who would Jesus use then? Who would care for the fearfully and wonderfully made babies, children, and teenagers?  Go to Happy life. Go as brothers and sisters to our brothers and sisters. Go be the hands and feet of Jesus to those that need care, relief, and to know they are not alone. Come out of your comfort and go. And when you come home, do not get comfortable, there is far too much work for that. When you come home, go. Go to your brothers and sisters, care for them. Help carry the weight, help bring relief. Bring them Jesus. Take them to Jesus.

“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” ~ Matthew 25:40.

“The Hands and Feet of Jesus” reflects the calling of believers to make Christ’s love visible through action. At Happy Life Mission, we see this lived out when volunteers, partners, and friends serve with compassion - feeding the hungry, caring for children, offering presence, and carrying hope. Through these acts, Jesus is made known not only in words, but in love put into practice.

Thank you to each one of you who chose to walk with us in 2025. Your presence has left an eternal mark, and together, we continue this work into 2026 - bringing hope, relief, and the love of Christ to those who need it most.

Praise God With us For:

  • God’s faithfulness and provision throughout 2025.

  • Our Grade 6, Grade 9 and Form 4 students who successfully sat for their year end examinations. They are all ready for the next level and we’re proud of them!

  • The friends, partners and volunteers who have consistently supported our mission.

Pray With us For:

  • The completion of the new Jesse Kay Hospital and for provision to equip it.

  • Provision for all the needs relating to the children and the communities we serve.

  • The right adoptive family for our children.

To God be the glory!
