News and shows with Hallworth

Hello and welcome to life with Hannah.

Hi friends,

Here are the headlines:

London Show! 29th October @ Strongroom: Tickets

Full band show, new tunes, I’m very excited about it.

New music in progress!

In London for October! If anyone wants to get coffee or write etc.

It’s been a while since I’ve decided to hit your inbox with some rambles. This year has been busy in all the good ways and the bad ways. I spent most of my summer working, but on any days off, Tom and I snuck into the studio or into my home studio or his home studio and have been working on new music in true Hannah Montana style. I’ve spent time this year between London and Nashville, settling into the in between.

I’ve taken the time this year with the new music. I really want it to sound really great. Undeniably great. The kind of great where even if it isn’t your genre you’d still respect that it’s a good song. I hope we’re getting there with it, it feels like the most exciting thing we’ve made.

I feel like I’m in this purgatory with so many things at the moment. I feel uncertain about work and life and where I’m going to be living for the next year, but working on this project makes me feel a little better. Something to work with and towards.

I spent 3 weeks of September following New Translations around America, and it’s definitely a long slog touring in a country that big. We spent 12 hour days in the van, eating gas station crips and (at my request) Taco Bell. It definitely takes a toll on your body, and I wasn’t even playing the shows!

My Spotify bio says “Get’s you over your breakup or your money back.” The 2025 version of me doesn’t know if that’s true anymore. I’ve spent so much of my life writing and listening to heartbreak songs. Yearning over some person or another, getting hurt and getting back up again. I got married in July, and now that doesn’t feel like something I connect with anymore, so I suppose I have to come up with a new witty one liner - suggestions welcome!

I’m in London for October, playing shows and trying to connect with a city I don’t spend much time in. It’s not an easy city to live in, but I am lucky to have my friends and family here ready to receive me whenever I am home. I’m excited to be playing a full band show later this month at Strongroom. We have new songs in the set, and it’ll be a treat to debut those as a team.

Last night I played a very fun show with The Willis Ordeal, in the basement of a hair salon in Shoreditch. It was such a joy and a privilege to get to play the format - 15 minute solo set, followed by 15 mins with The Willis Ordeal themselves. It was a jam and a live show and more than anything it was fun. It felt so great to be playing with other (very talented) musicians, and the audience were so accommodating. I would definitely recommend it as a show concept to check out.

I’m away working and travelling a lot for November and December, so if anyone has any music or tv show recommendations for me, please send them my way. <3

Love,

Hannah
