Pentecost Sunday
You are invited to wear something red for our Pentecost Sunday worship service, this Sunday, May 24!
Why do we wear red? The color red symbolizes the presence of the Holy Spirit: the fire of the Spirit descending upon the apostles, and on the church. This is also why red is the color on Reformation Sunday, and on Good Shepherd’s Anniversary Sunday. God’s Spirit is on the move among the people, and that is always something to celebrate!

THIS week:
- Wednesday, May 20 at 10:00 a.m., Bible study at Good Shepherd.
- Sunday, May 24 at 9:30 a.m., Pentecost worship service followed by fellowship time
Mark Your Calendars:
- Sunday, June 28 is ANNIVERSARY and CONFIRMATION SUNDAY! Virginia Synod’s Bishop Phyllis Milton will be joining us in worship that day, as we celebrate Good Shepherd’s 84th anniversary and confirm our confirmation students.
