Youth Retreat Opportunity
The "Shine Jesus" Summer Retreat is an overnight youth retreat for ages 8–17, with optional adult advisors, taking place August 7–8, 2026, at Caroline Furnace Lutheran Camp & Retreat Center in Fort Valley, Virginia. Hosted by the Faith Lutheran Church Youth Group, this retreat is open to youth and congregations from across the Virginia Synod.
Centered on the theme "Shine Jesus," the weekend will encourage participants to reflect the light of Christ through worship, Bible study, fellowship, music, recreation, and camp activities. Youth will be divided into younger and older age groups to ensure an engaging experience for everyone.
We are excited to welcome worship leaders from across the Synod, including Bishop Milton, Pastor Karen Caspersen, Pastor Ingrid Chenoweth, and Pastor Larry Closter.
The cost is $50 per youth and an optional $40 for an adult advisor, which includes lodging, meals, and all retreat activities.
